Internet Scam Warning

Members please be aware of the following internet banking scam in which a pop-up appears when accessing the internet banking login page.

NOTE: QSCU will never ask for your password or account details to be disclosed via a link within a pop-up, email or over the phone. If you receive any correspondence of this nature, please disregard it and contact us immediately.

What to do if the pop-up appears

If this pop-up does appear on your computer, please do not enter your personal information, passwords or PIN numbers.

Close your internet banking and perform the following tasks:

  1. Go into your internet browser and DELETE:
    • all temporary files
    • all cookies
    • your browsing history
  2. Perform a scan for possible viruses and Trojans using your virus protection software. If you don’t have anti-virus protection, we recommend that you do not use Internet Banking until you have installed and/or updated your anti-virus protection software.
  3. Please do not save internet banking as a ‘favourite’ on your computer. Always go through the QSCU main website to access internet banking.
  4. Contact us on 1300 747 747 as a precaution so we can securely change your internet banking password and Factor2 icons.

I just wanted to let you know I just received an email from itroutinetasks@qantascu.com.au with a "contact details form" requesting me to fill it in. I believe this is a scam, so wanted you to be aware in case you weren't already.
